Bobcats 19 - 36 Renegades

Game 7 of the Bobcats 2017 campaign saw them face off against last seasons division winners the Berkshire Renegades.

The Bobcats still reeling from their last defeat wanted to approach this game with all guns blazing. First drive they were unfortunate and unable to get the ever so precious 1st down having to punt to the Renegades. The Bobcat D on the other hand started strong and forced the Renegades into some uncharacteristic mistakes.

The Bobcats offensive spurred on by the efforts of the defense went for a 4th and long getting the 1st down and setting up their first scoring drive. QB Macdonald #1 with a pinpoint pass between two linebackers to receiver Griffith #89 whom hauled in the ball one-handed to give the Bobcats the lead. The extra point good the score 7-0, the Renegades took no time in messing around and immediately pounded their way down the field for a touchdown making the score 7-6 as they missed the extra point attempt.

The Bobcats continued to work hard pounding the ball at the Renegades making yards and with a short 1-yard up the middle run from QB Macdonald #1 gave the Bobcats their second touchdown of the day with the extra point missed the score now 13-6.

The Bobcats continued to play hard but the Renegades again found the end zone just before the half and with the missed extra point again, the score at half time 13-12 to the Bobcats.

Going into the second half the Bobcats had all to play for with confidence high they took to the field to try and add to their lead. The Bobcats defense continued to cause the Rengades issues but they slowly found their feet and added to the score with consecutive touchdowns.

The Bobcats started to waver and with low numbers began to tire, with only being able to get down the field on one more occasion for yet another QB Macdonald #1 touchdown.

With the game all but gone the Bobcats were struck with another blow as they lost starting RB Isaacs #9 to a broken collarbone ending his season. Another hard fought game from the Bobcats stricken by injuries but with every loss their are positives which leaves our game MVP's :-
